Union Banking Corporation (UBC)

In 1932, the Union Banking Corporation of New York City was established with four directors from the 1917 S&B cell and two Nazi Bankers associated with Fritz Thyssen, who had been financing Hitler since 1923.[2,p7]

Throughout the Bush family’s decades of public life, the American press [and the rest] has gone out of its way to overlook one historical fact - that through Union Banking Corporation, Prescott Bush (S&B 1917), and his father-in-law, George Herbert Walker, along with industrialist Fritz Thyssen, financed Adolf Hitler before and during WW2.[2,p38]

The U.S. Government had known that many American companies were aiding Hitler like Standard Oil, General Motors and Chase Bank, all of which were sanctioned after Pearl Harbour.[2,p38]

But as The New York Times reporter Charles Higham later discovered, and published in his 1983 ground breaking book, Trading With The Enemy; The Nazi American Money Plot 1933-1949, “the government smothered everything during and even after the war”. Why ? [2,p38]

According to Highman, the U.S. Government believed “a public scandal … would have drastically affected public morale, caused widespread strikes and pherhaps provoked mutinies in the armed services.”[2,p38]

16 Dec 1944 - NY Times - “The Union Banking Corporation, 39 Broadway, New York, has received authority to change its principal place of business to 120 Broadway” - cryptic notification that UBC had been seized under the trading with the Enemy Act.[2,p206]

The Times omitted the fact that the Union Banking Corporation had been seized by the government for trading with the enemy, and the fact that 120 Broadway was the address of the government’s Alien Property Custodian.[2,p8]
